Ludhiana, October 2, 2013: High-rise buildings in the city are becoming spots for committing suicide in the city.

In the today’s incident, Sandeep Kumar (33), resident of Anand Vihar in the Chander Nagar Area here committed suicide in the morning at around 11am after jumping from the fourth floor of a mall along Ludhiana-Ferozepeur road.

The deceased was a physically challenged person as he did not have his right arm.

Police have recovered a suicide note from the pocket of the deceased.

On the basis of this suicide note, Police Division 5 have registered a case of abetment to suicide against a few persons of Qadian in Gurdaspur district.

The preliminary police investigations reveal that the deceased was said to be under mental stress.

Earlier, a person had committed suicide after jumping from a high-rise building of a hospital in the city in the recent past.
