Ludhiana News-300 patients examined at First Screening Camp held under Operation Walk- 2014

Ludhiana, September 22, 2013: Screening Camp to select patients for free hip and knee replacement surgery under “Operation Walk 2014” was held on Sunday at DMCH.
A total 300 patients were examined during the camp. The patients from various different areas of the city visited the camp. Free x-rays were also done
Under Operation Walk-2014, free hip and knee replacements would be done for more than eighty poor needy patients in the last week of January, 2014. The surgeries will be carried in association with a team of doctors from USA. The patients will be selected from all over Punjab after extensive recruitment camps.

Next screening camp to select patients for this event would be held on September October 6, 2012 in OPD Block of Orthopaedics. Only those patients with disabling arthritis, who are poor and cannot afford surgery by themselves will be considered for free surgery under ‘Operation Walk 2014’.
