Ludhiana, October 11, 2021: “We believe we communicate with each other through language, but in fact we have been using non-verbal communication for over 2.5 million years, way before any language was ever formulated”, said Harpreet K Kang, Speaker at the Ludhiana Management Session on Understanding Body Language held at Hotel Park Plaza. She said only 4% of what we say is verbal, while a whopping 96% is Non-verbal, and it changes the essence of everything we say.
Highlighting to the Industry of Ludhiana on how they can close deals by understanding the non-verbal clues, Kang exaptiated for nearly two hours on Haptics, Kinesics, Paralanguage, Proxemics, and lots of fun work during the session to illustrate it to audience. During this long session, the audience remained glued and totally absorbed many tricks of the trade on how to make their sales, marketing and understanding their clients more effective. She exhorted that successful communication encompasses active and empathic listening as well, as the use of body language in a communication is often unconscious. One should always have a positive body language as it suggests that one is approachable, attentive and open to new idea.
The President of LMA, Sandeep Puri accentuated the audience about the role Body Language plays in the present scenario.
Dr.Prem Kumar, member of LMA expressed profound appreciation to Kang for such an enlightening session.
The Chairperson of LMA Women Forum, Dr.Vandna Shahi also asserted that body language is more powerful than words so it must be used felicitously.
