Ludhiana district administration starts 24x7 helpline number 

Ludhiana: Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mrs Amrit Singh today informed that the District Administration Ludhiana has started a dedicated 24X7 helpline number, where the residents can submit any complaint regarding issues related to black marketing and hoarding of essential commodities as well as any violation of the prohibitory orders issued by the government with regard to prevention of spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19).

She informed that the helpline number (landline) is 0161-2402347 and (mobile) is 9417228520. She said that both these helpline numbers would remain operational 24X7 and urged the residents to submit their complaints in case they get to know about any incident related to black marketing and hoarding of essential commodities as well as any violation of the prohibitory orders issued by the government with regard to prevention of spread of COVID 19.

Mrs Amrit Singh stated that when any person submits his/her complaint, it would be duly entered in the register and the concerned officials such as Commissioner of Police, SSP Khanna, SSP Ludhiana (Rural), DFSC Ludhiana, Zonal License Authority Ludhiana and Civil Surgeon Ludhiana would be intimated immediately. She said that each complaint would be assigned a “unique complaint ID” and when the complaint is resolved, the official who has dealt with that particular complaint, would submit action taken report in writing mentioning the unique complaint ID.

Mrs Amrit Singh has urged the residents of Ludhiana district to not panic and not to indulge in panic buying as the entire situation is under control. She informed that the district administration has made all necessary arrangements for the safety of residents and that no positive case of COVID 19 have been reported in district Ludhiana till now. She also urged the residents to submit their complaint in case they get to know about any incident related to black marketing or hoarding of essential commodities as well as any violation of the prohibitory orders issued by the government with regard to prevention of spread of COVID 19.

She also warned that if any person/shopkeeper/company/business establishment indulges in black marketing or hoarding of essential commodities as well as any violation of the prohibitory orders issued by the government with regard to prevention of spread of COVID 19. She said that these violations would also not be tolerated and strict penal action would be taken against all the violators.
