Ludhiana, April 9, 2026: In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the District Administration Ludhiana has established an LPG Control Room, ably managed by the Department of Food and Civil Supplies. This dedicated facility addresses supply chain disruptions and ensures uninterrupted LPG availability for households, industries, and essential services across the district.
Assistant Food Supply Officers from East and West zones serve as nodal officers, overseeing the control room's daily operations with efficiency and promptness. The setup reflects the administration's commitment to proactive governance amid fluctuating demands.
Since its inception, the control room has handled 161 complaints, queries, and requests—a testament to its growing role as a vital public resource. Notably, 148 cases have been swiftly resolved, while 13 remain in progress. With zero pending matters, the initiative underscores the team's dedication to timely action.
Among the success stories, 78 requests from key sectors—including industries, hospitals, schools, restaurants, and dhabas—have been addressed without delay, preventing potential shortages and supporting critical operations.
District officials hailed the control room as a model for responsive administration, urging stakeholders to utilize the facility for any LPG-related concerns. Further updates will be shared as the initiative expands.
