Ludhiana Administration to hold seventh state level mega job fair from September 9 to 17

Ludhiana, August 18, 2021: Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Wednesday said that the district administration would hold seventh state level job fairs from September 9 to 17 under Ghar-Ghar Rozgaar Mission of Punjab Government. 

Presiding over a meeting at District Administrative Complex, The Deputy Commissioner said that in order to provide jobs to the unemployed youth, the district administration has been organizing seventh state level mega job fair to offer 17000 jobs to the youth of the Ludhiana. 

He said that four job fairs would be held virtually and physically in the separate locations of the district. He told that on September 9, first fair would be organized on Government ITI Gill road, second on September 13 in Gulzar Group of Institutes, Khanna, third on September 15 SRS Government Polytechnic College of Girls and last fair would be held at September 17 in CICU Focal Point. Deputy Commissioner told that four of these fairs would be held from 10 am to 4 pm.

Sharma said that this is a golden chance for the unemployed youth to get gainfully employed by participating in these job fairs. 
The Deputy Commissioner directed the DBEE to identify the unemployed youth through a viable mechanism and ensure that they participate in these job fairs. He said that adequate publicity of these melas should also be made so that more and more youth could know about these job melas. 

Sharma envisioned that mega job fairs being organized by the state government would act as a catalyst to open new vistas of employment for the youth of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner said that this is a noble initiative by the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to provide job to every household under Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojna. 

He told  that leading companies would be visiting these fairs to provide jobs to the unemployed youth and said that unemployed youth who were matric, 10+2, ITI, diploma holders, Graduates or post graduates must participate in these job fairs.  He called upon the youth to register them on www.pgrkam.com for more jobs

On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-DBEE CEO Amit Kumar Panchal, Deputy CEO Navdeep Singh and others were present.
