LPU Students Turn Classroom Learning into ₹20 Lakh Global Projects and Startup Success
Creative Talent behind Border 2, Fast X and Brahmastra Emerged from LPU
Jalandhar, July 1, 2026: Lovely Professional University is redefining creative education by enabling Multimedia & Animation students to build industry portfolios, earn while they learn, and contribute to real world projects long before graduation. Through its Edu-Revolution framework, the university combines experiential learning, industry collaborations, live projects, and entrepreneurship to prepare students for careers in animation, visual effects (VFX), gaming, UI/UX, graphics, and digital content creation.
The outcome driven approach is reflected in the achievements of LPU students and alumni who are making their mark across leading creative and technology companies, global entertainment projects, and entrepreneurial ventures. Students from the School of Multimedia & Animation have secured placements with organizations including Bosch, HP, Nagarro and OPTMYZR, while others have transformed classroom learning into freelance assignments, startup ventures and international creative opportunities. According to LPU, the school's highest placement package has reached ₹23.25 lakh, with more than 50 recruiters hiring from the discipline.
Under LPU's Edu-Revolution framework, which integrates classroom learning with industry engagement, entrepreneurship, and live projects, the university's "Earn While You Learn" approach enables students to build professional careers even before graduation. Among its outcomes, Sunil Chouhan, a B.Design (Graphics) student, secured an international freelance project worth nearly ₹20 lakh during his third year, while Rounak Adhikary received infrastructure support worth $200,000 from Google Cloud for his startup, ProjectX.Cloud. Their success underscores how Edu-Revolution enables students to earn, innovate, and build careers while still on campus.
LPU students are also gaining recognition on national and international platforms. Multimedia students secured third position at the prestigious Technex Game Jam hosted by IIT Varanasi, won 17 medals at the GO48 International Challenge, and continue to participate in competitions, innovation challenges and collaborative industry initiatives that strengthen their practical exposure. The School has also signed an MoU with the Game Developers Association of India to enhance learning in Game Design, Animation, UI/UX and emerging digital entertainment technologies.
The university's alumni further demonstrate the impact of its practice oriented learning model. Graduates have contributed to major film productions such as Border 2, Fast X, Godzilla, Brahmastra and IKKIS in roles spanning Lighting, Unreal Artist and FX Technical Director. Others have joined global organisations including Slack and ISRO, while several have established successful creative studios and technology ventures of their own.
These achievements are supported by an ecosystem that includes industry standard VFX, AR/VR and graphics laboratories, project based learning, workshops led by industry experts, live assignments and continuous interaction with professionals from the creative industries. Together, these initiatives enable students to graduate with portfolios, professional experience and entrepreneurial exposure alongside their academic qualifications.
