Jalandhar, March 24, 2022: Two of the Fashion Design students at Lovely Professional University (LPU) have got international employment with top brands of the world in Canada and Jordan on rewarding packages. Vice President at the University, Mr Aman Mittal, who also governs students’ international affairs, congratulated the hard working and achieving students.
Sri Lankan BSc Design student, Tharindu Dhananjaya Bandara Wijerathna Wijesooriya at LPU’s School of Fashion Technology, has been placed in the Arabian country of Southwest Asia- Jordan. Apparel manufacturing company for Nike and other top global brands, MAS Kreeda (Pvt Ltd) has placed Tharindu at approximately 38.14 Lakh Sri Lankan Rupees. The MAS has two manufacturing locations in Jordan, and is the main apparel supplier for world's leading brands.

Another, Master’s in Design student Shivangi Nischel has got trans-disciplinary placement with BarBurrito in Canada. This placement is due to Shivangi’s extraordinary culinary and hospitality skills through her minors, in addition to her major design skills. Worth mentioning, LPU readies its students as all-rounder ones to get globally fit as per their inner passions and skills. All of them are mentored well on getting identified as per their tastes and temperaments during a large number of co-curricular activities going on at the campus.
In fact, the School of Fashion Design at LPU has been functioning by keeping the students’ aspirations and industrial requirements in mind. The infrastructure, curriculum, pedagogy and faculty work in synchronization to fulfil the motto and goal of the innovative creation at the school. It has prestigious collaborations with top fashion schools of the world, particularly in the US, UK, Italy, France, Australia and more. The curriculum development, here, involves multiple stages of refinement. Above all, one of the most important steps, here, is the regular adoption of industry feedback.
