A 19 member international delegation graced LPU’s mega cultural celebration

Jalandhar, April 3, 2026: A grand global convergence unfolded at Lovely Professional University (LPU) as ‘One World 2026’ displayed a powerful fusion of cultures, traditions, and global perspectives. The extravaganza brought together 4,000+ student participants with over 35,000+ audiences who displayed the rich traditions, art, and culture of 33 countries including Spain, Myanmar, Mexico, Nepal, South Africa, Cameroon, Bhutan, and Kenya, under one roof.

Now in its 14th year, this year’s ‘One World’ aligned with the forward looking theme “The Journey of Evolution of Education from Traditional Wisdom to Artificial Intelligence” under LPU’s EduRevolution initiative, the festival extended beyond cultural celebration into the realm of innovation and enterprise. Over 30+ experiential exhibition stalls, representing diverse countries, curated by students, blended cultural storytelling with entrepreneurial vision, transforming ideas into real time engagement and displaying the next generation of global creators and innovators.

Addressing the gathering, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, emphasized that institutions of higher learning must go beyond conventional boundaries to create ecosystems where global perspectives, innovation, and human values coexist seamlessly. Dr. Mittal remarked that LPU continues to build a dynamic academic environment that nurtures creativity, encourages interdisciplinary thinking, and empowers students to contribute meaningfully to an interconnected world.

The mega event was graced by an esteemed international delegation including H.E Dr. Desire Boniface Some, Ambassador of Burkina Faso to India, Mr. Abel Dungui Mavungo, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Angola, Mr. Mohamed Ali Mohamed Fazari, Education Counsellor, Embassy of the Republic of Sudan, Dr. Lyabwene Mtahabwa, Commissioner for Education, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Tanzania, Dr. Emmanuel Shindika, Director Education Administration, Prime Minister's Office, Regional Administration and Local Authority, Tanzania, and Ms. Joyce Baravuga, Coordinator Vocational Education, Prime Minister's Office, Regional Administration and Local Authority, Tanzania, along with a 13 member delegation from Tanzania.

The event was further graced by the presence of senior leadership of LPU including, H.R. Singla, Director General of LPU, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chancellor of LPU, Dr. Aman Mittal, Vice-President of LPU, Dr. Loviraj Gupta, Pro Vice-Chancellor of LPU, and Dr. Monica Gulati, Senior Dean, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The fest witnessed grand cultural performances that brought together music, dance, and storytelling from across the world, creating an electrifying atmosphere on campus. Each performance stood as a vivacious expression of cultural pride while reinforcing a shared global identity.


As a university that hosts students from over 50+ countries, LPU continues to position ‘One World’ as more than a festival. It is a powerful platform where cultures converge, collaborations begin, and perspectives expand. By creating such large scale global experiences, the university not only celebrates diversity but also enables students to understand, embrace, and grow together in a truly international environment, irrespective of borders or backgrounds.
