LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal honoured with Indian Red Cross Award
LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal with the Award received from Hon'ble Punjab Governor Shri VP Singh Badnore.

Jalandhar: Chancellor of Lovely Professional University (LPU) Mr Ashok Mittal has been honoured with prestigious Indian Red Cross Award. His Excellency Hon’ble Governor Punjab & President Punjab State Red Cross Branch Shri VP Singh Badnore had bestowed the awards. Occasion was 50th Managing Body and Annual General Meeting of Punjab State Red Cross Branch at Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration in Chandigarh. Award is presented to LPU Chancellor Mr Mittal for strengthening Red Cross Activities by rendering his services from time to time.
Expressing gratefulness for the honour bestowed upon, Chancellor Mr Mittal shares modestly: “Such coveted honours bring along encouragement for more of the responsibilities and duties to be performed in the service of humanity. I am always at the beck and call of the society and such great organizations which are working unflinchingly and tirelessly for the common causes. In fact, LPU and Lovely Group have ever followed its maxim of ‘paying more to society than received from it’.
Imbibing principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality; ‘Red Cross’ is an international/national movement to prevent and alleviate human suffering, and ensuring respect for the human being. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace amongst all peoples without any discrimination.
On the similar lines, LPU is imparting education and scholarships to many thousands of national and international students irrespective of their nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or opinions. 20 nearby villages to the campus have also been adopted for according awakening and assistance as per needs of the concerned ones. Blood donation camps and allied social services are also a regular feature at the campus.
