Jalandhar; Sep 15, 2025: Lovely Professional University (LPU) commemorated its 24th Foundation Day with grandeur, marked by a special Staff Appreciation Award Ceremony that honoured the dedication and service of its faculty and staff. In recognition of their contributions, the university awarded cash prize of approx ₹1 crore to over 350 faculty across 23 categories, including Teaching, Research, Administrative Services, Residential Support, Skills Development, and more, reflecting the diverse excellence that drives LPU forward.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor, Er. H.R. Singla, Director General, along with the university's senior leadership and the entire staff fraternity.
In his inspiring address, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal stated, “LPU’s success is built upon the shared efforts of its people, who together create an ecosystem that empowers students to excel.” Dr. Mittal reflected on the university’s revolutionary EduRevolution initiative, noting that its scope extends beyond students to include faculty. “Our teachers are also encouraged to evolve, to explore beyond the classroom, develop new skillsets, and leverage them to educate the next generation. This evolution is paramount,” Dr. Mittal said.
Dr. Mittal shared, “At LPU the focus is on solving real-world challenges, building sustainable solutions, and nurturing leaders who combine knowledge with compassion. The journey is about creating meaningful impact, and this is only possible when every community member sees themselves as a driver of change.”
The celebrations concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing LPU’s recent milestones, including its ascending NIRF rankings, record-breaking placements, and academic achievements. The day stood as a tribute to LPU’s culture of appreciation, collaboration, and excellence.
