Lohia Auto Plans to become one-stop-shop for all electric 3 wheeler requirements in 2020

New Delhi: Lohia Auto, among the first electric vehicle manufacturer in the country plans to become a 'one-stop-shop' for all your 3 Wheeler e-vehicles requirements in 2020.

Commenting on the expansion plan, Mr. Ayush Lohia, CEO of Lohia Auto Industries said, 'Being one of the earliest manufacturers of EV vehicles in India, Lohia Auto has seen a dramatic change in the EV industry in the past 10 years. Being at the forefront of this revolution we feel that it is time we take the mantle and push forward. Our move is also in sync with the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan 2020 of the Government of India that has set an ambitious target to achieve 60-70 lakh sales of hybrid and electric vehicles by 2020. With this year’s plan aptly named 'Embrace The Revolution' we will make Lohia Auto one of the first companies to provide EV for all categories of customer in three wheeler market'.

The ethos behind the plan 'Embrace The Revolution' is that Lohia Auto aims to change the mindset of consumers and bridge the gap between the current and expected consumer base when it comes to switching to EV as their next choice of mobility.

Additionally adding more products and models will also encourage India to take the electric revolution baton forward.

In the automobile sector, Electric Three Wheelers have been the torch bearers in the impending revolution in the sector and shall be a key driver for mass adoption of EV in the country. Ten years ago Lohia Auto was one of the firsts to propagate this change which has only grown from strength to strength in the following years, accentuated by growing demand for EVs. The Indian government has also extended considerable support and incentives resulting in an increase consumer demand. Lohia Auto aspires to play an integral role in leading the country in the adoption of EVs as a more sustainable, eco-friendly and economical choice for mobility."

A rise in the number of private vehicles in the country aids severe environmental effects. Approximately 26.27 million fossil fuel based vehicles are sold across the country annually.  The EV revolution will not only make mobility affordable, available and technologically-driven but will also save the consumers and the country from the significant costs spent on diesel and petrol and thwart the burgeoning need for oil imports.
