Ludhiana, February 28, 2014: Liver Transplant Symposium was organised today in Dumra Auditorium of DMCH. The conference was organized in collaboration with faculty from Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA and is accredited by the Punjab Medical Council for credit hours. The symposium was inaugurated by the chief Guest-Dr Tejbir Singh, DRME, Punjab. Also present on the occasion were Secretary of DMCH Managing Society Sh Prem Kumar Gupta, Principal Dr Daljit Singh, Medical Supdts. Dr Sandeep Puri and Dr Ashwani Chaudhary.
Organising Secretary-Dr P L Gautam ( Professor of Anaesthesia & Intensive Care) said that the symposium was held to keep pace with advances in solid organ transplantation and to fulfill the expectations of post graduate students, teachers and practicing consultants of various medical and surgical specialties, the scientific sessions were blended with latest interesting topics on liver, kidney, pancreas and heart transplantation. “We hope it to be a good academic feast of the year with active participation of eminent national and international faculty. The format of the conference will provide immense opportunities for interaction and sharing of experiences among the national and international participants. We also hope this will provide a unique learning experience for all of us and enable us to move the medical, surgical, anaesthetic and critical care practice in our country forward”, he said.
