Live workshop on “Enhancing Gynae Endoscopic Skills” organised

Ludhiana, September 12, 2022: Department of Obst & Gynae, DMCH, conducted a live operative workshop under the aegis of Indian Association of Gynecological Endoscopists on “Enhancing Gynae Endoscopic Skills” in DMCH on 10th September.

The event was inaugurated by Dr Sandeep Puri, Principal, DMCH, Dr Sandeep Sharma, Medical suptd., Dr Sandeep Kaushal, Dean, Academics, along with the stalwarts of Laparoscopy from around the country- Dr Bhaskar Rao, President, IAGE, Dr Pandit Palaskar, Vice President, IAGE, Aurangabad, Dr Damodar Rao, Coimbatore, Dr Subhash Mallaya, Calicut and Dr Nitin Shah, Mumbai.

Prem Kumar Gupta, Secretary, DMCH Managing Society, lauded the efforts of the Department and the organisers.

A live transmission of different surgeries like difficult Lap Hysterectomy and Lap Myomectomy were orchestrated from DMCH.

The workshop was coordinated by Dr Ashima Taneja, Professor & Head and Dr Suman Puri, Professor & unit head, Dept of Obst & Gynae, DMCH.

Dr Pooja Tandon, Asso. Prof. and Dr Kanupriya Jain, Associate Prof, welcomed the delegated and Dr Sunil Juneja gave a vote of thanks.

During the conference, Dr Ashima Taneja participated as a panellist on the talk “Surgical tips in management of endometriosis” and Dr Suman Puri gave a video presentation on “Simplifying TLH in difficult situations”.

The Punjab chapter of IAGE Laparoscopic was launched with the ambition of creating opportunities for young budding endoscopy enthusiasts where Dr Mangla Dogra was appointed as the President, Dr Suman Puri was installed as the Vice President and Dr Ashima Taneja was appointed as executive member of Punjab chapter of Gynae Endoscopists.
