LIC Northern Zone Athletics Meet Held in Jaipur, Athletes from 17 Divisional Offices Compete

Ludhiana, July 29, 2026: Northern Zone Athletics Meet was organized by the Life Insurance Corporation of India in Jaipur. Winning athletes from all 17 divisional offices of LIC within the Northern Zone participated in this event.
Bhanwar Lal Suthar, Senior Divisional Manager of the Ludhiana Division, stated that Sudhir led the Ludhiana Division in this competition. Sudhir has been participating in the Northern Zone Athletics Competition for several years and has consistently brought glory to the Ludhiana Division by winning gold medals. Providing further details, Suthar mentioned that Sudhir was recruited by LIC under the sports quota as a long jumper in 2012. Since then, he has consistently won gold medals in the long jump event and has also been recognized as the 'Best Athlete.'
This year, by winning the gold medal in the long jump once again, Sudhir has not only brought the Ludhiana Division into the spotlight but has also qualified for the All India LIC Games 2026-27.
Upon his return to Ludhiana from Jaipur, Sudhir received a warm welcome for his outstanding performance and for winning the gold medal in the long jump at the Northern Zone Athletics Competition. On this occasion, Bhanwar Lal Suthar, Senior Divisional Manager of the Ludhiana Division, personally offered sweets to Sudhir, garlanded him, and extended heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the division.
In the presence of the Manager (Personnel) and the Ludhiana Sports Desk team, the Senior Divisional Manager commended Sudhir for his hard work, discipline, and dedication. He also pledged his support and conveyed his best wishes for Sudhir's excellent performance in the upcoming All India LIC Games.
