Legal knowledge has an important role in understanding our Legal Rights and Duties: Hooda

Kurukshtra(Haryana): Haryana Chief Minister Bhupindra Singh Hooda said," Legal knowledge has an important role in understanding our  Legal Rights and Duties, which helps in building a clean and good society which leads to study social education, sports and Legal knowledge, only that is the way to progress in day today social life".

Hooda was addressing audience at a state-level function organised by the Haryana State Legal Services Authority in collaboration with the Haryana Education Department in order to educate students, under Legal Literacy Mission's fifth Haryana State level function held at University of Kurukshtra, Kurukshtra  auditorium here recently.

During the function, Justice  Sanjai Krishan Kaul, Chief Justice, High Court of Punjab& Haryana who is also Patron-in-Chief Haryana State Legal Services Authority, Executive Chairman  of the Haryana State Legal Services Authority  Satish Kumar Mittal and Judge High Court of Punjab & Haryana, Rekha Mittal, Judge R.K.Garg,  Judge Ajai Tiwari Judge Rajan Gupta, Judge Rameshwar Dayal Malik, Judge K.C.Puri, Judge R.P.Nagar and Judge Surender Gupta were among those present on the occasion.

Lauding the role of Haryana State Legal Services Authority the Patron-In-Chief of the HSLSA and Chief Justice Sanjai Kishan Kaul of Punjab & Haryana, said that HSLSA in now number one Legal Services Authority in India. Kaul also appreciated the role of teachers in leading number one the very Students Legal Literacy Services Programmes.

He was concerned about the discipline and to be answerable to others, which is very important that the citizens participation and awareness is needed. Sanjai Kishan Kaul said, "Awareness among citizens is very important".

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hood released two books on Legal Services Authority Fundamental Rights and Senior Citizens on the occasion.
