Lecture on academic leadership held in PU’s Sanskrit Department

A special lecture on academic leadership was held today 28.3.24 in Panjab University’s Sanskrit department. The speaker was Dr. Vijay Karn from the Nava Nalanda Mahavihar (Deemed University), Bihar.

Chandigarh, March 28, 2024: A special lecture on academic leadership was held today 28.3.24 in Panjab University’s Sanskrit department. The speaker was Dr. Vijay Karn from the Nava Nalanda Mahavihar (Deemed University), Bihar. 

In his lecture Dr. Vijay Karn emphasised the role of youth in academic leadership. “If managed properly, today’s youth can lead India and the world in academic endeavours”, Dr. Karn said. He stated that today’s era is of knowledge-power and not of muscle-power. Dr. Karn also talked about the importance of cultural consciousness and its link with leadership qualities.

The lecture was attended by the teachers, research scholars and students of the department and Dayanand Chair for Vedic Studies, PU. Dr. Sushma Alankar from D.A.V. College sector 10, also attended the lecture.

Prof. V. K. Alankar of the Sanskrit department gave a vote of thanks and laid emphasis on the importance of learning leadership qualities among students of Sanskrit.
