Lawyers need to educate public on Election Laws

Today the role of lawyers is of immense importance all over the country hence lawyers being part and parcel of the society should today have an obligation to spread the awareness to the commons regarding election laws and towards their inalienable fundamental right to vote enabling the public to rekindle faith in their minds that to cast a vote is a privilege for them and not a obligation, as it will be a positive concern towards the prosperity of our nation.

With Lok Sabha election in April 2014, public must understand - What is the Model Code of Conduct? they must respect and observe, above all that Election Commission ensures its observance by political parties and contesting candidates in the discharge of its constitutional duties for conducting the free, fair and peaceful elections as per Article 324 of the Constitution of India, hence Lawyer all around the country should spread the awareness regarding the legal aspects of casting their vote by way of electronic machine and knowledge about the election laws, which ultimately results to the output of genuine and legal vote rights amongst the commons and highlight as the Republic of India is socialist, secular and democratic sovereign so if the democracy is to flourish, the people have an enviable role in electing a political team and side by it is the need of hour for the for the commons to show concern and attain the knowledge relating to the conduct of election rules and the value of their right over casting vote.

Lawyers who are also considered to play a key role as part and parcel of the society should today have an obligation to spread the awareness to the commons regarding their inalienable fundamental right to vote enabling the public to rekindle faith in their minds that to cast a vote is a privilege for the people and not a obligation and in this way the locals can foresee governance of their make. The commons should take a lesson from what is happening in neighboring countries and endeavour to avoid spillover of the same to our country’s politics.
