Launching of Potential Linked Credit Plan: NABARD estimates 56000 cr credit estimate of District

Ludhiana: NABARD has been playing a pivotal role in rural credit planning for more than two and holf decade by way of preparing Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) for each district.  The PLP prepared by the DDM NABARD along with expertise input of NABARD Regional Office of the State provides a comprehensive assessment of bank credit potential in the district along with infrastructure and other support services considered necessary to realize the same under various sectors.  This is a systematic exercise carried out by adopting participative and consultative approach involving all stakeholders in agriculture and rural development so as to provide a meaningful link between the development planning and credit planning process. 
 
The PLP projections for the year 2021-22 has been prepared keeping in view the extent guidelines by RBI / Government of India. Total credit potential under priority sector for 2021-22 has been estimated at Rs. 56,000.00 crores.
