Launch of Niryat Mitra – Mobile App promoting India’s international trade

New Delhi: August 8, 2018: Hon’ble Commerce & Industry and Aviation Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu launched Niryat Mitra – Mobile App Promoting India’s International Trade. The app developed by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) is available both on Android and on IOS. It is a unique mobile application providing wide range of information required to undertake international trade right from the policy provisions for export and import, applicable GST rate, available export incentives, tariff/preferential tariff, market access requirements – SPS/TBT measures etc. The most interesting part is that all the information is available at tariff line. The app works internally to map the ITC HS code of other countries with that of India and provide all the required data without the users bothering about the HS code of any country. Presently the app comes with the data of 87 countries. Launching Niryat Mitra the Minister said that this was a step towards Digital India and expressed his confidence to further increase the ease of doing business. He added that the app will help promote export interest in the country. He invited the industry to make the most of the app and take to exports. He appreciated the Human Resource tool of the app which enables candidates with interest in the international trade sector to register on the app and apply against the vacancies arising in the sector. Companies can also search the profiles of the candidates and engage them. Shri Ganesh Kumar Gupta, President FIEO said that this was a much needed application for the industry and assured FIEO’s professional manpower support to the industry through the app. He added that Niryat Mitra mobile application is unique in the world. It provides information on global business and technology offers and requests, opportunities for R & D collaborations, daily forex rates, updates on policy matters etc. apart from the information already listed. The mobile application also makes available the export promotion programmes organised by FIEO and provides opportunity to the industry to participate in them. This will help to create export culture in the country and encourage the artisans, cottage, micro, small, medium enterprises to plan for exports. Dr. Ajay Sahai, Director General & CEO, FIEO said that the challenge for the app is to keep the data updated, timely make available the policy matters affecting international trade. He expressed his confidence to meet the challenge and sought the mass participation of the industry in using Niryat Mitra.
