Ludhiana, November 12, 2022: The inauguration ceremony of four new medical equipments was held today in the Department of Pathology  DMCH. The inauguration was done by Secretary DMCH, Managing  Society Prem Kumar Gupta along with Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, Medical Supdts. Dr Ashwani K Chaudhary, Dr Sandeep Sharma, Dr Bishav Mohan and faculty members of Department of Pathology.

The medical equipment included Beckman DX Flex flowcytometer, Sysmex (UC 3500 and UF 4000), Fully automated 7 part complete blood analyser Mindray (BC 6200) and automated bone cutter.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary DMCH Managing Society Prem Kumar Gupta said that DMCH is always committed to provide the best medical care facilities to general public  with latest technologies.

In his message, Prinicpal Dr Sandeep Puri said congratulated the department of Pathology and stated that these new acquired equipments will enhance the capability of the hospital in proving the best medical care to the public.

Giving information about the equipments, Professor & head Department of Pathology   Dr Harpreet Puri said that, Beckman DX Flex flowcytometer which will be useful for the diagnosis and measuring residual disease in cases of leukemia and lymphoma patients.

Sysmex (UC 3500 and UF 4000) fully automated urine and body fluid analyser and will provide rapid and efficient services to the patients.

Fully automated 7 part complete blood analyser Mindray (BC 6200) instrument will provide useful parameters like immature platelet fraction (IPF%) which is helpful in monitoring the dengue patients and patients having thrombocytopenia.

Automatic bone cutter (ADE) for cutting large bone specimens especially useful for ortho-oncology specimens.
