Jalandhar: An M Sc Zoology student of Lovely Professional University (LPU) Reebu Gupta has got direct entry to Miss India Campus Princess Finale Pageant to be held in Mumbai. Reebu will now get fast-tracked to the ‘Miss India 2020 Pageant’, where as the winner of Miss India she can further represent India at the Miss World Pageant. Prior to further competitions, Reebu will also be trained and groomed by the renowned Industry experts from the fashion & glamour world. LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal congratulated the promising Reebu Gupta for her coveted winning, and wished her to emerge as Miss India in the next slated competitions.

Student Organization "Atan Dharyati ", under the Aegis of Division of Student Welfare, at LPU had organized Zonal rounds for "Campus Princess 2020" pageant. Esteemed names from the ‘Miss India Organization’, Miss Universal Peace & Humanity 2014- Ruhi Singh and Head, Campus Princess Event, Mr Bennett Nathan (Times Group) adjudged 30 finalized participants from across the Zone. Finalists were from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Jammu-Kashmir. While sharing their experiences with the contestants, Judges encouraged all participants to ever follow their dreams with confidence. Another student Mahekdeep Kaur of Government Medical College, Amritsar, has also been selected as a winner.

Reebu, who hails from a small town Naushera of District Rajouri in Jammu & Kashmir, wanted to be a renowned scientist and so she joined LPU. Her teachers at LPU also identified another dynamic woman within her, and encouraged her for modelling in addition to her science subjects. Being at LPU, she got many chances of such competitions, and has already won the title of Miss Goodwill Ambassador West 2019, Diva Punjab and more. Here in this pageant, Reebu impressed the jury- members through her buoyancy, elegance and authentic response. In order to win the finals, Reebu now wants to escalate her modelling passion with Russian Indian Supermodel Alesia Raut.

Thanking her teachers for guiding on the other right lines for her brilliant career ahead, Reebu now advises fellow girls at the campus: “Everything is possible if you believe in yourself. Never leave the hope aside and ever be on the positive lines. Avail opportunities as these come on your way.” In fact, Campus Princess’ initiative empowers promising talents by engaging with the student community.
