Large number of people arrived near Vidhan Sabha in Dharamsala to press government to form Sawarn Ayog

Dharamsala, December 10, 2021: A large number of people of Sawarn community have reached Joravar Stadium near Tapovan Assembly Complex to demand formation of Sawarn Community Commission.  According to its earlier schedule, this community today has a program of purification of the government and gherao of the assembly.  However, till noon on Friday, the agitators have been stopped at the Joravar Stadium itself.  The entire Joravar stadium has been converted into a police station.  The Chief Minister Jairam Thakur has also reached the assembly premises.  It is worth noting that for the last one month, there is a movement going on for the formation of the Sawarn (upper caste) Community Commission.  The people of the community have brought Gangajal from Haridwar by traveling on foot, due to which a program of purification of the government has been kept.  However, it remains to be seen how successful these agitators are in their aim.
