Land pooling policy: Ludhiana landowners give consent to GLADA on more than 280 acre land

Ludhiana, July 30, 2025: Giving a lot of positive response received from the general public/land owners regarding the benefits of land pooling policy with the aim of establishing new urban estates in Punjab, landowners in Ludhiana have partnered with the Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab government by giving their consent for developments on more than 280 acres of their land, instead of Compulsory Acquisition under the Land Acquisition Act.

Ludhiana residents, Praveen Jain and Jagdish Lal Jain, had personally met Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and handed over their consent forms for 100 acres of their land on July 17. They said that they are lucky to become partner in this ambitious project.

Demonstrating strong confidence in the Punjab Government's Land Pooling Policy, another resident HS Bawa, has also submitted his consent to the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) for the development of a new urban estate.

Bawa gave his consent letter to Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, who also serves as GLADA's Chief Administrator.

HS Bawa also expressed gratitude to the Punjab Government for the opportunity to contribute to this transformative project. He highlighted his efforts to raise awareness about the benefits of the Land Pooling Policy among his peers and encouraged other landowners to join the initiative, fostering collective progress in urban development.

Demonstrating strong confidence in the Punjab Government's Land Pooling Policy, Rajesh Agarwal, a landowner holding 100 acres on Pakhowal road, has also submitted his consent to the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) for the development of a new urban estate.

Rajesh Agarwal expressed gratitude to the Punjab Government for the opportunity to contribute to this transformative project.
