A LAND MARK JUDGEMENT-Stringent punishment, it was need of hour

A landmark judgment under the amended section 376-D of the Indian Penal Code, has been pronounced today with punishment to hang all the four accused involved in the Delhi Gang rape, today by the court and this way our judicial has proved having particular responsibilities and obligations to society.

The way justice has been initiated by this trial court in Saket by pronouncement “All four accused sentence death penalty in rape case” using the amended section 376-D of the Indian Penal Code, this will definitely create a strong impact of effective administration of justice. Applause for judgement to have rapists to be hanged. It rather goes to the credit of the court for pronouncement on merit with stringent punishment to the accused who have been established to have a direct link with the commission of heinous crime. Rather this stringent verdict sentence will atleast send a bold signal to such unscrupulous element who indulge in heinous cases of gang rape and moreover such judgments will also create fear in the minds of such persons who indulge in such inhuman acts.

Hope in future the relevant trial courts in our country also initiate trials in serious cases of rape keeping this particular conclusion of trial as a precedence.
