KVK Kapurthala recognised skills on World Entrepreneurship Day

Ludhiana, August 21, 2023: World Entrepreneurship Day is celebrated every year with the spirit of entrepreneurship and the important role that entrepreneurs play in driving innovation, creating jobs and fostering economic growth. Therefore, to remind the contribution of these creative individuals, World Entrepreneurship day was celebrated by KVK, Kapurthala on 21st August, 2023 at its campus. 

In this event, more than 25 trainees participated. At the outset, Mrs. Avneet Kaur Ahuja, Astt. Prof. (Home Sc.), highlighted the importance of this day and motivated the participants to start business models. 

Dr. Harinder Singh Assoc. Director (Trg.) , shared that KVK imparts various vocational trainings to develop entrepreneurs in the district. Though we understand that with the changing scenario the skill needs must be updated accordingly. He strives to support the entrepreneurs as they are job creators making a significant and positive impact in emerging economies. They are true game changers who constantly innovate and rise by lifting others. 

Dr. Suman, Astt. Prof. (Plant Protection) advised them to adopt subsidiary occupations like bee-keeping and mushroom cultivation so as to increase family income. This would also contribute in enhancing the economic growth of country. 

In the end, Dr. Harinder Singh distributed vocational training certificates to trainees.
