Kular meets Sohail Lashari; Indian delegation to visit Lahore & Rawalpindi in Oct 2014

Ludhiana, May 9, 2014: Gurmeet Singh Kular, Chairman, Ludhiana Zone-PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry met Sohail Lashari, President, The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry at Amritsar. The meeting was presided by Abdul Basit, High Commissioner of Pakistan along with Naeem Anwar Minister (Trade) Pakistan and M.Khurshid  Barlas,  Chairman, The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry. It was discussed & urged upon both the government the open business especially for bicycle & parts because bicycle industry is in negative list in Pakistan.
In Pakistan the Roadster Model of cycle is Rs. 6,500 pc as compared to Indian cycle which cost Rs. 3,000. If the trade of bicycle industry is started between both nations then the most beneficial state is Punjab because Ludhiana which is the largest manufactures bicycles & parts is very near to Wagha Border. Even costs of freight will not much as compared to China, Singapore & Dubai.
It was also discussed to plan an exhibition at Lahore or Karachi by Indian Bicycle & Parts Manufacturers. Sohail Lashari invited Indian bicycle & parts manufacturers to visit Pakistan to explore the business opportunity.
R.S.Sachdeva, Vice Chairman and Dalip Sharma Regional Director PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry assured Sohail Lashari that they will arrange a delegation to Lahore & Rawalpindi in October 2014 to study the bicycle industry in Pakistan because there is a huge demand of bicycles in Pakistan.
