Bathinda: Krishna Park Hospital, Bathinda, has successfully completed 100 coronary angioplasty procedures thus marking a significant achievement in advanced cardiac care for the region.
The procedures, performed under the leadership of Dr. Rohit Mody, highlighted the hospital’s growing capability in managing complex and emergency cardiac cases in Bathinda region.
Out of 100 cases, 26 were primary angioplasties which were conducted in emergency situations for patients suffering from acute heart attacks.
Dr. Rohit Mody said that primary angioplasty is a time-sensitive, life-saving procedure in which rapid restoration of blood flow significantly improves survival rates and reduces heart muscle damage.
He also shared that the Bathinda belt has a high prevalence of diabetes, a major risk factor for coronary artery disease. Additionally, the incidence of cardiac events increases during winter months due to cold-induced vasoconstriction and elevated blood pressure. In such cases, treatment during the golden hour remains critical for achieving favorable patient outcomes, he asserted.
Meanwhile Krishna Park Hospital Bhatinda is equipped with all advance technologies, including Laser Angioplasty, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), and Rotational Atherectomy (Rota), enabling precise diagnosis and management of complex coronary interventions.
Krishna Park Hospital is part of the Park Group of Hospitals, known for delivering quality, affordable, and patient-centric healthcare. The hospital is empanelled with all major government health schemes like ECHS, CHS, Railways, Ayushman and all Major TPAs, and Corporates, ensuring wider access to advanced cardiac treatment for patients across the region.
