KPPL Unveils Six Franchises and Brand Ambassador Sriimurali Ahead of Historic Debut

Bengaluru, September 7, 2026: The Karnataka Pickleball Premier League (KPPL) on Sunday unveiled all six franchises for its inaugural season at a Team Launch and Press Conference in Bengaluru.
The league, a joint initiative of the Karnataka State Pickleball Association (KSPA) and Entropy Sports and Events (ESE), is the only state league officially recognised by KSPA. Its inaugural season will be held from October 9 to 11.
Kannada film star Sriimurali was announced as the league's Brand Ambassador. The league also named Zee Kannada as its official Broadcast Partner and Zomato District as its Ticketing Partner.
The six teams for Season 1 are Bengaluru Smashers, Coorg Originals, Mangaluru Roarers, Mysuru Royals, Shivamogga Master Bliss and Tumakuru Titans. Franchise owners, captains and coaches presented their team identities at the event.
KSPA President A G Shivakumar said, "KPPL is the result of KSPA and Entropy Sports and Events building something from the ground up together — a structured, professionally run platform that gives pickleball in Karnataka the credibility and visibility it deserves."
Brand Ambassador Sriimurali said, "Pickleball is one of the most exciting sports movements happening in the country right now, and I'm glad to be part of KPPL as it gives Karnataka's players and fans a proper stage to be part of that."
Ashish Swarnkar, Founder and Managing Director of Entropy Sports and Events, said, "Six franchises, a KSPA partnership built from scratch, and a brand ambassador who genuinely believes in the sport — that's the foundation we set out to build."
The launch event was attended by team owners, captains, coaches and league management. Anil Shah and Ashish Swarnkar from Entropy Sports and Events, and K V Srinivasa Murthy also addressed the media.
