KMV’s NCC Cadets Shine at 10- Day Drone Camp

Jalandhar, July 9, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) participated in a centrally organized Drone Camp held at Lovely Professional University. Cadet Sakshi, Cadet Tamanna and Cadet Mehak from the NCC Army Wing of KMV attended the 10-day camp. The camp was an immersive experience designed to introduce students to the world of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. It provided comprehensive hands-on training in drone operation, programming, and drone assembly.
During the camp, the cadets learned to assemble and pilot drones, and mastered essential skills such as flight control, navigation, and safety protocols.They were also trained on how GPS, sensors and camera modules work in UAVs. The camp concluded with both flying and theory exam where cadets showcased their newly acquired skills. Cadet Tamanna brought laurels to the institution by securing the Silver Medal in the ‘Best Flyer’ category.
Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such skill-based programs give students technical confidence and prepare them for future challenges. She also appreciated the efforts of Lt. Sufalica Kalia, ANO, NCC Department, for providing cadets with diverse opportunities that prepare girls to emerge as future leaders of the Nation. The camp gave the cadets not just technical knowledge but also improved their coordination, focus and problem-solving abilities.
