KMV’S INSTITUTION’S INNOVATION COUNCIL ORGANISES WEBINAR ON INNOVATE TO LEAD

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment, Ranked No.1 in India by India Today Ranking (various categories) organized webinar on the topic “Innovate to Lead”. The webinar was organized by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of KMV granted by Ministry of Human Resource Development’s Innovation Cell to systematically foster the culture of innovation in the institution. The expert talk on the webinar was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Jyoti Rana, Dean (Skill Faculty of Management Studies) and Dean (Student Welfare Department), Sri Vishwakarma Skill University, Gurugram. The webinar was attended by more than 60 teachers and students of KMV. Dr. Rana started her talk by saying that creativity leads to innovation and becomes capacity when it desires to bring light in the lives of others. She emphasised that innovation is a collaborative affair that runs from development of an idea to its final implementation. During her talk, Dr. Rana discussed vital points as to how to become an innovative leader. She said self-analysis is very important for an innovator & an innovator should know his weaknesses & he should understand his team member’s emotions too.  Dr. Rana concluded her talk by saying that an innovative leader is a creative visionary who has big ideas and, most importantly, can motivate people around him to turn those ideas into reality. End to an innovation is just the beginning of new journey, she added. 
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that Dr. Rana’s talk was very informative as well as very motivating. Participants were fully engrossed in her talk. Healthy discussion among participants and the speaker made the session more interesting. She further maintained that this type of activities always motivate the students to be innovative & creative. She lauded the efforts of team KMV-IIC for conducting such an innovative and inspiring web expert talk.
