KMV’s Institution’s Innovation Council Awarded with 4 Gold Stars by Union Ministry of Education

Jalandhar, December 15, 2021:Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has proved its mettle in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. Adding one more feather to its golden cap, Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya has been again awarded with 4 ‘Gold Stars’ (highest rating in the country) by Ministry of Education (MoE’s) Innovation Cell (Govt. of India). It is pertinent to mention that last year also KMV was awarded with 4.5 Gold Stars by Ministry of Education. Throwing more light on it, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this rating has been awarded to KMV for its commitment and dedication in organising various activities to promote entrepreneurial and innovative culture among the students and faculty. It is also a matter of great pride that KMV has been recognised as the best performing institution as it has successfully  streamlined innovation and entrepreneurship campus ecosystem and have also established mechanism to promote and support innovations and entrepreneurship among students and faculty members. It is one of the very few institutions all over the country to be conferred 4 gold stars by Ministry of Education, Government of India. Prof. Dwivedi further maintained that KMV is working ceaselessly to foster innovative and entrepreneurial culture among students as KMV has provided a breeding ground for many student start-ups. With the continuous motivation, guidance and support KMV-IIC team, 14 students have started their own ventures, be it a fashion boutique, beauty salon, diet clinic, nutritive foods manufacturing & video editing etc. It is important to mention that KMVites innovative ideas have also won laurels at TOYCATHON competition. Moreover, KMV also provides seed funding to the students who want to start their own business ventures during their studies. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated Dr. Rashmi Sharma, President KMV-IIC, Dr. Neetu Chopra, Vice-President KMV-IIC and also lauded the efforts of IIC team for this outstanding achievement. Prof. Dwivedi concluded by saying that innovative and entrepreneurial initiatives at KMV will improve the key competence of entrepreneurship and will lead to more innovative behaviour among students and faculty.
