KMVites Visit Elante Mall To Gain Entrepreneurial & Industrial Experience

Jalandhar, February 11, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous Institution has always been taking initiative in enhancing skills and learning capabilities of its students. Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi takes a keen interest in enabling the students to face the challenges of competitive world. In order to make the Retail Management students face the challenges of competitive world and to familiarize them with the practical aspects of retail marketing, an industrial visit to Elante Mall, Chandigarh was organized. The students gained practical exposure about mall management, international brands, inventory handling, warehouse management, store operations, visual merchandising, fixtures and lighting, store-layout and design, customer dealing etc. The visit proved to be very educative and informative for the students. It was a great opportunity for them to explore the dynamic world of retail. It is worth a mention here that the students of Retail Marketing have cleared many exams conducted under the Sector Skill Council, and have acquired the certificate for different levels of job skill. Students have also acquired the certificate of store manager by clearing the 7th level of the exam. This is a great achievement for the students of Retail Marketing and Kanya Maha Vidyalaya. Ms Rashmi Sharma, Incharge and faculty members of Retail Management were appreciated for supplementing the theoretical knowledge of students with the practical exposure.
