Jalandhar, August 27, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) showcased their creativity and scientific knowledge by preparing innovative posters on the theme “Biotechnology: Innovation, Skills and Recent Advancements”.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, who showcased their creativity and scientific understanding through informative posters on emerging applications of biotechnology. The students highlighted innovative developments in diverse areas including healthcare, agricultural biotechnology, environmental sustainability, food technology, industrial biotechnology, genetic engineering, and other emerging fields. The posters particularly reflected how biotechnology-based innovations can contribute towards addressing contemporary challenges related to health, food security, environmental protection, sustainable development, and industrial advancement. The winners were Gagandip (B.Sc. Biotechnology, Semester III) – First Position, Kavita (B.Sc. Biotechnology, Semester I) – Second Position, and Anjali (B.Sc. Biotechnology, Semester V) – Third Position.
Appreciating the initiative, Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, lauded the students for their innovative ideas and active participation. She emphasized the importance of encouraging students to explore emerging technologies and develop scientific and creative skills. The competition successfully created an engaging academic environment and encouraged students to look beyond conventional learning by exploring the transformative potential of biotechnology in solving real-world problems.
