Jalandhar, November 1, 2025: The P.G. Department of Botany at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated World Environmental Health Day on the theme “Clean Air, Healthy People” by organizing a Poster Making Competition. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across various streams.

Participants designed impactful posters highlighting key aspects of environmental protection, sustainability, pollution control, and human responsibility toward nature. The activity inspired students to creatively express global environmental challenges and communicate strong messages on sustainability through art. Each poster reflected innovative ideas advocating for environmental preservation.

The entries were evaluated on parameters such as creativity, originality, thematic relevance, and overall presentation. Winners received certificates of merit, while all participants were honored with certificates of appreciation for their commendable efforts.

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi stated that the competition effectively raised awareness about environmental conservation and underscored the importance of individual responsibility in maintaining environmental health. She appreciated the faculty’s initiative and urged students to implement eco-friendly practices in their daily lives to make the environment cleaner and healthier.
