Jalandhar, December 1, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Department of Student Welfare along with Red Ribbon Club, Eco Club and NSS Unit organised a Poster Making Competition to mark World AIDS Day. The theme for this year was "Empower Community".
The event aimed at spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS, promoting health education, and encouraging students to participate actively in social and community-oriented initiatives. A large number of students from various departments participated with great enthusiasm and creativity. Their posters reflected deep awareness, sensitivity, and a strong sense of responsibility towards public health. Themes such as “Know Your Status”, “End Inequalities, End AIDS”, and “Safe Practices for a Healthy Life” were highlighted through impactful visuals and slogans. 
Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the initiative taken by the student bodies and faculty members. She applauded the meaningful participation of students and encouraged them to continue contributing towards such socially relevant causes. She emphasised that activities like these help in shaping responsible citizens and strengthen the college’s commitment to community welfare. 
The event concluded successfully, leaving a strong message of awareness and collective responsibility among the youth.
