Jalandhar, August 19, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), a premier heritage institution, organised a photography exhibition and competition to mark World Photography Day. 
Organised by the PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, the event centred on the evocative theme: "Capturing the beautiful KMV Campus through the lens." Students enthusiastically participated, showcasing their creative perspectives, technical skills, and artistic visions. The submissions beautifully highlighted the architectural grandeur, lush green surroundings, and vibrant campus life of KMV. The displayed photographs and poster presentations featured diverse perspectives, capturing the unique spirit and scenic spots of the heritage institution. 
Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi commended the students for their artistic endeavours and highlighted the significance of photography as a powerful medium of visual expression and storytelling. She lauded the dedicated efforts of the organising team, including Dr. Madhumeet (Dean, PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication), Sehajpal Singh (Head, PG Department of Journalism and Mass Communication), Tarun, and Vinakshi, for successfully hosting an engaging and impactful event that nurtured creative talent among students. 
The event concluded with an interactive exhibition where faculty members and students appreciated the impressive entries, celebrating the art of visual storytelling.
