KMVites participate in National Youth Parliament Festival, 2021

Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya celebrated the National Youth Parliament Festival, 2021 organized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India. The Department of Political Science in collaboration with NSS and Students Welfare Club participated in a National Youth Parliament Festival, 2021 by watching live telecast of this event on Doordarshan and Lok Sabha channel. 

The main objective of this event was to get the feedback and the opinions of the youth between 18 and 25 years of age as the youth will emerge as a voter and at the same time, they will be holding different positions in carriers like civil servants, technocrats & lawyers etc. The purpose was to encourage the youth to engage in public issues, to understand the point of view of the common man, form their opinion and express them in an articulate manner. 

Principal averred that role of each and every youth is important in the process of Nation Building and it is the duty of higher education institutions to inculcate this belief in their students. She further maintained that youth of the country is a significant tool of development in general and particularly in India. In the end, she motivated the students towards nation building activities. 

Principal lauded the efforts of Mrs. Ashima Sahni, Head, Department of Political Science for this initiative.
