KMVites explore the Royal Heritage: An Architectural Tour of Jaipur
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) students from the B.Voc. Hospitality and Tourism programme successfully completed a highly enriching educational tour focused on the Architectural Heritages of Jaipur, aimed at deepening their understanding of India’s rich traditional knowledge systems and fulfilment of the course work “Destination visit and Report”.
Jalandhar, November 23, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) students from the B.Voc. Hospitality and Tourism programme successfully completed a highly enriching educational tour focused on the Architectural Heritages of Jaipur, aimed at deepening their understanding of India’s rich traditional knowledge systems and fulfilment of the course work “Destination visit and Report”. Organised by the students themselves under the guidance of faculty members, the tour provided an immersive learning experience, blending academic objectives with practical exposure to India’s cultural and architectural legacy. The participants explored some of the most iconic heritage sites of the Pink City, accompanied by local experts and professional guides who offered detailed insights into the historical, architectural, and cultural significance of each monument.
Key sites visited during the tour included:
● City Palace
● Jantar Mantar (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
● Hawa Mahal
● Amber Fort (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
● Jal Mahal
● Birla Mandir
● Galta Ji Temple
● Albert Hall Museum
The tour highlighted the intricate blend of Rajput, Mughal, and European architectural influences, as well as the scientific brilliance embedded in structures like Jantar Mantar. Special emphasis was laid on understanding the Indian Knowledge System reflected in astronomy, water conservation techniques and temple architecture.
