KMVites Complete One-Month Industrial Training Across Top Sectors
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) students of the Department of Biotechnology successfully completed a one-month industrial and institutional training programme at various reputed organizations.
Jalandhar, August 8, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) students of the Department of Biotechnology successfully completed a one-month industrial and institutional training programme at various reputed organizations.
The training provided students with valuable hands-on exposure and helped them connect their academic knowledge with its practical applications in real-world professional settings. Industrial and institutional training is an important component of education as it enables students to gain practical experience, understand professional work environments, develop technical skills and become familiar with workplace discipline, safety practices and quality standards.
During the training, students gained exposure across diverse sectors. In the research and technical sector, students underwent training at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar. The pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector included Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Mohali and Samrvir Biotech Pvt. Ltd, Rajakhasa. Students also received extensive exposure to the healthcare and clinical sector at Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Jalandhar; Surya Hospital, Nurpur; SOS Dev Bhumi Hospital, Una; Civil Hospital, Jalandhar; Civil Hospital, Tanda; Community Health Hospital, Dholwaha; Gupta Hospital and Research Centre, Kathua and Community Health Centre, Moga. In the clinical diagnostics and pathology sector, students underwent training at Adarsh Clinical Lab, Dasuya; Dashmesh Path Lab, Mukerian; and Dr. Drew Path Lab, Jalandhar. Exposure to the agriculture and allied sector was provided through Unati Agri Allied Marketing Multistate Cooperative Society, Talwara, while ITC, Kapurthala provided students with exposure to the food-processing sector.
Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Director, KMV, appreciated the students for successfully completing their training and lauded the Department of Biotechnology for providing valuable exposure beyond the college campus. Director lauded the efforts of Dr. Sandeep Kaur Saggu, Head, Department of Biotechnology for successfully mentoring the students.
