KMVites challenged India’s innovative minds at TOYCATHON- 2022

Jalandhar, June 2, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has a culture of inculcating innovative minds among its students. Recently KMVites have developed a prototype on futuristic driverless car. The idea behind this project is to visualize the futuristic driverless car with essential safety features as the future of roads.

This innovative idea of students of KMV got selected in TOYCATHON-2022. Under the ‘Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ initiated by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Toycathon - 2022 is conceived to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualize novel Toy and Games based on Bharatiya civilization, history, culture, mythology and ethos. Physical edition of Grand finale of TOYCATHON 2022 was conducted by Ministry of Innovation Council in which two students along with two faculty members of KMV participated at nodal centre Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panipat. KMV Jalandhar was the only institute from Jalandhar who got shortlisted to participate in the event. In this three day program, there were five different rounds in which judges challenged participants’ innovation & creativity by giving different problems. Each problem raised level of difficulty and competition. Students successfully completed all the levels and ended up with the designing of brand new android based application which will be soon available commercially. 

Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated KMV team of Toycathon– 2022 for getting shortlisted among India’s top innovative minds and also boosted up the team to make the product commercially available. She averred that KMV always provides innovation driven education to the students so that they can compete in today’s competitive world.
