KMV will offer free of cost certificate course in Retail Operations with a mission to skill and up-skill people working in retail sector

Jalandhar, February 8, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) adding one more feather to its embellished cap has been recognised as Retail CoE (Centre of Excellence) by Retailers Association’s Skill Council of India (RASCI). In a new initiative, KMV will offer free of cost certificate course in Retail Operations under DDU Kaushal Kendra with a mission to skill and up-skill people working in retail sector. It is a matter of great pride for KMV to be recognised as “Centre of excellence (COE)” for Retail & Allied sector, a destination/ hub centre to drive common skilling objectives of RASCI & KMV across programmes/ initiatives aligned with Skill India Mission. RASCI has also signed an MoU with KMV to collaborate and facilitate outcome-oriented relevant skilling in retail and allied sectors to bridge the gap between industry demand and talent supply perennially. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the Centre of Excellence (CoE) at KMV will play a significant role in driving innovation and excellence in vocational education in retail and will also provide mentorship to other institutions regarding retail education and operation of retail lab. Principal congratulated Dr. Gopi Sharma, Dr. Rashmi Sharma and the faculty members of Department of Retail Management and all the students for their remarkable achievement.
