Jalandhar, March 13, 2024: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) premier institution known for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, proudly extends a heartfelt welcome to its students who recently represented India at the esteemed World Youth Festival held in Russia. 

Six students namely Lovepreet Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Kirandeep Kaur, Vanshika Chandel, Tanveet Kaur & Geetika Singh from KMV showcased exceptional talent, leadership, and cultural prowess on the global stage, embodying the institution’s ethos of nurturing well-rounded individuals. Their participation highlights KMV’s commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment where students are continuously making the institution proud with their brilliant performance at the national and international level day after day. It is noteworthy that these students have got the honour of being one of the 360 delegates to represent India on this global platform. Before going to the Russia, the orientation of these students were done at New Delhi and after their orientation, the students flew to Russia for the main event. During the festival, the students of KMV presented the folk dance of India and along with that, a mix performance was also done by the students in collaboration with team of St. Petersburg. It is pertinent to mention that this delegation of KMV students was fully funded by Government of India. 

Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulating the students for this special achievement of keeping the flag of India high at the international level with their brilliant performance. She averred that we are delighted to welcome back our students who have represented India with distinction at the World Youth Festival. Their achievements inspire us all and reaffirm KMV’s commitment to nurturing global citizens equipped to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. She further maintained that KMV remains dedicated to providing a conducive environment for students to excel academically, culturally, and socially. The institution looks forward to continued success and endeavours to empower more students to pursue their dreams on both national and international platforms. Moreover, at K.M.V. along with the education, co-curricular activities are also given equal importance, on the basis of which these students have become capable of honing and enhancing their talent and showcasing their art on various national and international platforms. She lauded the efforts of Dr. Gurjot, Dean, ECA & Ms. Geetika for providing the proper guidance to the students.
