KMV successfully commences 2- Day National Conference on Implementation of NEP- 2020 and Role of Scientific & Technical Terminology 

Jalandhar, November 29, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized a Two- Day National Conference on Implementation of NEP- 2020 and Role of Scientific & Technical Terminology in collaboration with Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi. Acclaimed scholars along with the delegates and paper presenters from different states of India participated in this conference. 

Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, KMV Managing Committee was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The conference was inaugurated with the traditional lamp lighting by the dignitaries. 

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi in her welcome address hailed the New Education Policy as an instrument for social upliftment and strengthening of Indian Economy. She further maintained that KMV has already implemented many changes recommended in the policy since 2009. 

Prof. G.N. Jha, Chairman, Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology, outlined the duties and work of commission and its achievements which left the audience struck with the volume of work that has been done since 2020. 

Alok Sondhi in his address congratulated & gave his best wishes to the organisers. He said that KMV is an institution that works as a leader for the other institutions. The first speaker for the  first Technical Session of the day was Major General Dr. GG Dwivedi, SM, VSM & BAR (Retd,), Professor, Strategy- International Relations & Management Studies, Founder Chair, Aligarh Muslim University. 

Dr. GG Dwivedi in his address spoke on the Critical Role of Educators in Implementation of New Education Policy. In his address he spoke on the role of teachers in Nation’s development. He told that we are living in an era of disruption where change is inevitable. He also shed light on Disruptive Innovation in Education where he laid emphasis on the fact that one should readily adapt to the changes happening around them in order to be more innovative. He also made a detailed comparative analysis of creative thinking and critical thinking. 


The second speaker for the day was Dr. Ashutosh Angiras, SD College, Ambala Cantt. The topic of his talk was Sanskrit Shaastriya Critique of Scientific & Technical Terminology in Quality & Innovative Research in New Education Policy. He spoke on the relevance of Indian knowledge system and also shed light on how we need to redefine certain terminology related to science and technology. 

The last speaker for the first technical session was Dr C.P. Pokharna, SRKP Government PG College, Kishangarh, Rajasthan. He spoke on the topic of NEP-2020 and Environmental Education: Role of Scientific & Technological Terminology. He spoke on the serious issue of environmental conservation and how much important environment education is for the society. The first speaker for the second technical session was Dr. Kunwar Rajeev, DAV College, Jalandhar. The topic of his talk was Memorising Scientific Terminology. He spoke on the concentration power of mind and how one can train his mind in order to develop a sharp memory. The last speaker of the day was Dr. Vinod Kumar, LPU. The topic of his talk was National Education Policy and Scientific Technology Translation. 

Prof. Dwivedi adumbrated that KMV from time to time keeps on organizing various international & national conferences & conclaves. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of the whole organizing committee and hoped that this conference will spread awareness about the New Education Policy in the education sector. Er. JS Rawat, Assistant Director, Commission for Scientific and Technical Terminology was also present on the occasion.
