KMV Students Bag Top Positions at National-Level Culinary Competitions

Jalandhar, December 14, 2025: Students of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), pursuing B.Voc. (Hospitality & Tourism) and BBA Airlines and Airport Management, showcased exceptional culinary skills and creativity by securing top honours at two prestigious national-level inter-college competitions. Their achievements highlight the institution’s strong commitment to excellence in hospitality and tourism education.

At the National-Level competition Navaidyam 4.0, KMV’s budding mixologists dominated the Mocktail Preparation category, winning the First Prize for their innovative and refreshing creations that beautifully blended traditional flavours with modern techniques. The students also demonstrated their versatility by earning Runner-Up positions in both the Quiz and Poster Making events, reflecting their sound knowledge of culinary arts, nutrition, and sustainability.

Continuing their winning streak, KMV students excelled at the Millet-e-Meetha Dessert Cooking Competition, where they secured the First Prize and Third Prize for their innovative millet-based desserts. These creations not only impressed the judges with their taste and presentation but also promoted the use of India’s nutritious superfoods and aligned with global trends in healthy and sustainable cuisine.

Congratulating the winners, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi said that these accomplishments are a testament to the rigorous training and holistic development provided through the B.Voc. Hospitality & Tourism and BBA Airlines and Airport Management programmes. She added that the success reflects KMV’s ethos of empowering young women through skill development and innovation.
