KMV, Jalandhar student entrepreneurs of Fashion Design on Friday organising two-day Exhibition-cum-Sale.
Jalandhar, November 6, 2015: P.G.Department of Fashion Designing of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar, has taken the initiative of organising a two-day eco-friendly sale-cum-exhibition ‘Prayas’ at Hotel Shangrila. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs.Neerja Mohan who was very appreciative of the creative endeavours of brilliant budding designers. Many eminent citizens were present to encourage and motivate the entrepreneurs which included Mrs.Raj Mohini Sondhi, Mrs. Anuradha Sondhi, Mr. Rajender Mayor (Treasurer KMV Managing Committee), Mrs. Manorma Mayor, Dr. Sushma Chopra, Dr. Sushma Chawla and Mrs. Neeru Kapoor. This exhibition aimed at promoting young and budding entrepreneurs. The articles in display included handcrafted suits, sarees, gift items, home furnishing items are unique original designs beside a designer range of candles, diyas and gift items which would cater to the coming festival season. Fashion and aesthetic sense were the dominant feature of all creations in the exhibition. Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal KMV averred that this particular venture is instrumental i.e. ‘Prayas’ Exhibition-cum-Sale has been in giving practical exposure to the young students and hones their entrepreneurial qualities. She further maintained that the profit from the exhibition would go to the students who had prepared the items and the proceeds from the Exhibition-cum-Sale would go to the poor students fund. Madam Principal appreciated the Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, Head P.G. Dept. of Fashion Designing and the whole department for the success of the venture.
