KMV Spreads Message of Judicious Use of Water

Jalandhar, March 22, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar's Red Ribbon Club celebrated World Water Day under the aegis of Department of Student Welfare. The Department organized Chart Making Competition on the theme ''Leaving No One Behind'' in which students actively participated. They also accentuated many other issues like Water Conservation, Rain water Harvesting, Water Pollution etc. through their art of chart making. The appreciation awards has been given to the students of B.Sc. Medical Semester IV namely Komalpreet, Urvashi, Avjot & Mohita.
Admiring all the students, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred the need to conserve water. She also gave a vibrant lecture on essentialities to maintain the continuous decreasing water level. She averred that observing World Water Day on March 22 every year has been the regular practice of the Department of Student Welfare at KMV. Such activities are indeed the need of the hour as they can play a pivotal role in bringing awareness in the people. Judicious use of water is the message which celebration of such days spreads. She congratulated the organizers of the event including Dr. Madhumeet, Dean Student Welfare and Ms. Sadhna Tondon, Head Life Science Department for organizing such a significant activities which included mobile quiz & competitions by which students spread awareness about these pertinent issues.
