KMV Research Cell Organizes Research Forum

Two Faculty Members Awarded the Award for Excellence in Research
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar has always encouraged its faculty & students to become more research oriented and innovative. The Research Cell of KMV organized the third Research Forum in order to promote the research aptitude in the teachers and also to highlight the various research related achievements of the faculty. This time the PG Department of Computer Science & Applications showcased the research profile of the department. The research profiles of various teachers from the PG Department of Computer Science & Applications were shown by Mrs Suman Khurana, Head, PG Department of Computer Science & Applications. Dr Pardeep Arora from PG Department of Computer Science & Applications gave an Expert talk on Systematic Literature Review. He explained about the importance of Systematic Literature Review & also informed the audience about the rigorous process of doing the literature review. It is important to mention that the Research Forum is one of the regular features of the college which is organized from time to time in order to promote the research-oriented activities. During the forum, two faculty members of KMV namely Mrs Ashima Sahni, Dept. of Political Science & Dr Davinder Singh, Dept. of Sports & Physical Education were awarded with the Award for Excellence in Research by the KMV Principal which included a cash prize of Rs 10000/- each.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Research Cell, IQAC of the college and averred that this provides a very good learning experience for all the faculty members and that in KMV we always promote our faculty to engage in the research-oriented activities. She further maintained that in this competitive world, the teachers should always strive to pursue more quality based research as this is the only way through which students can also be motivated to engage themselves in the research oriented activities. Principal Madam also highlighted the fact that KMV will always provide monetary aid to the deserving faculty member for the purpose of research.
