KMV reinforces commitment to Sustainability on World Environment Day

Jalandhar, June 5, 2026: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Department of Life Sciences and Student Welfare celebrated World Environment Day by organizing a Poster Making Competition to raise awareness about environmental conservation and sustainable living.
The competition was organized in alignment with the World Environment Day theme, "Our Land. Our Future. We are Generation Restoration," emphasizing the importance of restoring ecosystems and protecting natural resources for future generations. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their creativity through thought-provoking posters highlighting various environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity conservation, afforestation, pollution control, waste management, and sustainable development. The participants effectively conveyed powerful messages promoting environmental responsibility and the need for collective action to protect our planet.
Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the event successfully sensitised students towards environmental issues and reinforced the institution's commitment to fostering environmental awareness and sustainability as through such initiatives, KMV continues to encourage young minds to become responsible citizens and active contributors towards building a greener and healthier future.
