KMV Organizes Annual Athletics Meet Trailblazer-2019

Jalandhar, February 13, 2019: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized Annual Athletics Meet "Trailblazer-2019". Every year the spirit of sports is celebrated with enthused response from both the players, non players along with the faculty members.
The day commenced with a floral welcome of the Chief Guest for the day Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi who is the Patron and a source of inspiration for the whole college. She formally declared the Annual Athletics Meet open before unfurling the sports flag and releasing the tri coloured balloons in the air. This was followed by an impressive March past by the players of total nine team i.e. Softball, Wood ball, Volley ball, Handball, Kho-Kho, Squash Racket, Ball Badminton, Lawn Tennis & Athletics. The teams included many state, national and international players and also the winners. The torch of the Sports was also lot on the occasion and players also took an oath of true spirit of Sportsmanship without indulging in doping.
Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi while addressing the audience averred that sports is a prestigious human activity since the dawn of human civilization and we cannot imagine the world without the sports. She also encouraged one and all to participate whole heartedly in the events of the day.
Principal lauded the efforts of the organizing committee Mrs Ashoo Bajaj, Dr Davinder and Ms Ramanjot Kaur. During the colourful progression of the day various events in the categories for players & non-players took place namely 100mt & 200mt race, Obstacle race, Long jump, Sack race, Needle & Thread race, Back race, Spoon & Potato race, Shot put, Coin race, 400 & 800mt race for non-players, Slow cycling. The other events for the faculty included Tug of War (Male & Female Staff), Musical Chair (Female Staff) and Basket ball match. The winners for the various events were 100 metres (Non-player)- Manju, Payal and Shivani were first, second and third respectively, 100 metres(player)- Ramandeep, Renu and Rajpreet were first, second and third, Obstacle race- Bipasha, Meghna and Pawanpreet were first, second and third, Three-legged race -Simran and Monica, Naina and Lobhika, Navneet and Aanchal were first, second and third, Sack race- Suvaiya, Roshni and Shruti were first second and third, 200 metres (non-player)- Manju, Rakhi and Manraj were first, second and third, Back race (non-player)- Kamaljeet, Agampreet and Sujaya were first, second and third, 200 metres (player)- Ramandeep and Renu Bala, Neha and Chandni were first, second and third, Long jump (non-player)- Manju, Sujaiya and Amanpreet were first, second and third, 800 metres (player)- Rajni, Nisha and Rajpreet were first, second and third, Needle & Thread race- Navjot, Nisha and Priya were first, second and third respectively, Long Jump(players)- Rajpreet, Renu and Raman were first, second and third respectively, Spoon & Potato race- Ekta, Simran and Kanshi were first, second and third respectively, 400 metres (player)- Jyoti, Manpreet and Simran were first, second and third respectively, 400 meters (non player)- Jyoti, Manpreet and Simran were first, second and third respectively, Shot Put(non player)- Anjali, Payal and Kiran were first, second and third respectively, Coin race (non-player)- Sujaiya, Pallavi and Priya were first, second and third respectively, Best Athlete (non player) was bagged by Manju, Best Athlete (Player) was bagged by Ramandeep Kaur.
